Overview

Designed for WeWork’s Member Experience team, focusing on Discovery & Communications to enhance member engagement across digital platforms.

My team worked on closing the gap between physical and digital workspaces, providing an experience for members to connect better. As part of this effort, I worked on features that help members discover curated content, connect with companies, and engage with events across the WeWork network.

Designed search, community, feed filters, accounts, onboarding, profiles, directories, and reporting tools across iOS, Android, and web. Improving discoverability and fostering a more connected community.

About

Search serves as a conduit for members to explore. The current implementation serves up unexpected results, doesn’t meet common search expectations, and doesn’t have an intuitive interface. It also doesn’t provide relevant results to a natural language query.

Search improvement

Challenges

  • Users find the current search functionality difficult and confusing to use.

  • Results appear only after submitting a full query (auto-complete)

  • No discovery screen or recommendation

  • It needs to display recent search

  • Fuzzy String

About

Currently, members reach out to CMs (Community Managers) in multiple buildings across the World, asking for awareness about their neighbors and companies in their buildings. CMs have manually reached out to members and companies and created spreadsheets and deck information to provide context for other members.

Building Directory

Challenges

Members today rely on CMs (Community Managers) to find out who their neighbors are. CMs have manually hacked together directories to meet needs. MVP needed to build Directory:

  • List view for members and companies

  • Toggle between floors and buildings

  • Filter company industries, expertise, and skills
